MEETING OF THE COUNCIL.

Courts cf Justice Act, 1936.

A letter was read from the Department of

Justice requesting the Council to nominate

a practising solicitor to be a member of the

District Court Rules Committee in room of

the late Mr. Daniel J. Reilly. The Council

nominated Mr. John P. Carrigan.

OBITUARY.

MR. HENRY H. HURLEY, Solicitor, died on

the 8th March, 1941, in Dublin.

Mr. Hurley served his apprenticeship with

the late Sir Charles H. Brett, Belfast, was

admitted in Michaelmas Sittings, 1903, and

practised at 41 Nassau Street, Dublin, as a

member of the firm of Hayes and Sons.

MR. ALEXANDER PRINGLE, Solicitor, died

on the 14th March, 1941, at his residence,

Clonboy, Clones.

Mr. Pringle served his apprenticeship with

the late Mr. William A. Parke, Clones, was

admitted

in Hilary Sittings,

1902,

and

practised at Clones up to 1938 when he

retired.

MR. JOSEPH C. ERSKINE, Solicitor, died

on the 16th March, 1941, at his residence,

Corduke House,

47 Sandymount Road,

Dublin.

Mr. Erskine served his apprenticeship

with the late Mr. Francis L. Brownrigg,

Dublin, was admitted in Trinity Sittings,

1922, and practised at 2 St. Stephen's Green,

Dublin.
