New OMB Members
SUMMARY:
Two members of the OMB will be leaving at the end of September. One member has a second term
that expires in September 2017. The other member announced during the June OMB meeting that
her new position will not currently support participation on the OMB. Per the OMB’ s Terms of
Reference, the OMB shall consistof up to 13 voting members including a Chair, a Vice Chair, the Chair of
Committee on Safety, and the Chair of Committee on Statistics. Therefore, with 12 members currently
on the 2016‐2017 term of OMB, there is a maximum of
three (3) open seats
forconsideration for the
2017‐2018 term of OMB.
In selecting potential candidates from which the OMB could consider, Shauna Roman proposed that
the list of candidates from 2015‐2016 be considered. Additionally, two other candidates were also
nominated.
After reviewing the slate of candidates and subsequent voting, the candidates selected are as follows:

Jon Wong (US FDA)
•
Eric Verdon (ANSES)
