Development of activities in the field of Physico-Chemical Methods for Vet Drug Residue Control :
- Scientific and Technical Implementation of Training Sessions for EU-NRL experts, for experts from
the official Laboratories from Third Countries and for analytical chemists from the LVDs (French
District Veterinary Laboratories = Field Laboratories),
- Scientific and Technical Implementation of Proficiency Testing Studies for EU-NRL experts, for
experts from the official Laboratories from Third Countries and for analytical chemists from LVDs,
- Preparation of Reference Materials for EU-NRL experts, for experts from the official Laboratories
from Third Countries and for analytical chemists from LVDs,
- Teaching for french and foreigner analytical chemists trained for physico-chemical analysis of
veterinary drug residues in food from animal origin,
- Teaching of vet drug residue chemistry for students at Technical degree, Master degree or PhD,
- Coordination of the network of analytical experts organized between the CRL and the NRLs of the 27
EU-MS with scientific implementation and follow-up of the CRL WebSite
dedicated to the exchange of information toward the NRLs and toward the EC (DG-SANCO).
- CRL activities, implementation and follow-up of the connections with the official laboratories in charge
of the control of veterinary drug residues in food from animal origin, those inside the European
Union (within 27 Member States) and those outside too (Candidate Countries to EU-Accession,
Associate European Countries, Third-Countries …).
- Official CRL Visits and Technical Audits of EU-NRLs in charge of vet. drug residue control (Portugal,
Austria, Cyprus, Italy, Hungary, Poland, Finland, Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Slovakia, …)
- Advices and expertise for EU-NRL experts, for experts from the Official Laboratories from the Third
Countries and for analytical chemists from the LVDs (French Field Laboratories),
- Advices, trainings and expertise mission for AFSSA-DERNS (Department for Evaluation of Hazards
in Food Nutrition and Food Safety), for MAP-DGAl (French Ministry of Agriculture – Directorate
General for Food and Nutrition), for the European Commission: DG-SANCO (Health & Consumer
Protection), DG-TRADE and DG-Enlargement (TAIEX : Technical Assistance Information
Exchange Office), and for international bodies : FAO/IAEA : examples :
• Expert mission for training voïvodies veterinary field laboratory analysts through a french-polish cooperation
of the Veterinary Services (National Veterinary Research Institute, Pulawy, November 22-25, 2005)

State (Central Laboratory for Veterinary Control and Expertise, Sofia-Bulgaria, February 13-17, 2006)
