Autumn Leaves Festival

This festival is held annually in historic Downtown

Mount Airy on the 2nd full weekend in October.This

long-running festival, is an annual celebration of our

local culture, including great food, live music, and arts &

crafts vendors. Free to the public.

Big Elkin Brewfest

Big Elkin BrewFest will be held 3rd Saturday in September

in Elkin, North Carolina from 2pm until 7pm. Enjoy live

music, sample the finest NC craft beers & ciders, eat deli-

cious food from food trucks and local venues.

Located at Elkin Municipal Park.

Blackmon Amphitheatre Summer Series

Live entertainment, featuring the best in beach music

and more, every April through September at the Black-

mon Amphitheatre in Mount Airy, across from the Andy

Griffith Playhouse.

Budbreak Wine and Craft Beer Festival

Held the first Saturday in May in Downtown Mount

Airy, this festival features many of the top wineries and

breweries from around the region, as well as entertain-

ment and special events from downtown merchants.

The festival also features of the unveiling of the Fiddle

Crawl, with larger-than-life fiddle sculptures on exhibit

throughout the downtown area.

British Car Gathering

Held every April at SheltonVineyards near Dobson, this

is a chance for everyone to enjoy viewing Austin Hea-

leys, Jaguars, MGs,Triumphs, Bentleys, and other classic

automobiles. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, a picnic

basket or dine at Harvest Grill, sip some wine, and enjoy

viewing the beautiful automobiles.

Held every December, this annual Christmas experi-

Civil War Battle and Living History Weekend

This annual event is held in Historic Rockford the first

weekend in March.The re-enactments include tradi-

tional campsites, costumed re-enactors, and exciting and

educational drills and battles.This event has plenty of

fun for the entire family. Rockford

pintos, chicken stew, sonker, fried apple pies, and more.

Corn Shucking Frolic

Held the third Saturday each October, this annual

agricultural heritage festival at the 1900-era Horne

Creek Living Historical Farm features heritage music,
