The Parks and Recreation Department
seeks to improve the quality of life for
Douglasville and Douglas County resi-
dents. The department maintains eight
parks with 11 athletic fields, a football
complex, a tennis complex, and a soccer
complex. Of its eight parks, four include
playground facilities, and Hunter Park and
Jessie Davis Park both have community
centers. Activities range from youth and
adult sports, educational classes, and day
camps. Special events are also hosted at
park facilities throughout the year for the
public’s enjoyment.
