GAZETTE

readers of the

Gazette

are a commentary

by

Mark J. Dwyer

on the "subject to

contract" issue including a

consideration of the recent case of

Boyle

-v- Lee

[1992] 1 IR 555, an analysis of

EC remedies by

Cathrina Keville,

a

review of indirect contributions, the law

of trusts and matrimonial property by

Caoimhe Leahy

and the right to

associate by

Eugene Smartt.

Last year, the writer of this short notice

suggested that the description "student"

should be deleted from the title of the

Review. A change of title would make it

easier for lawyers to cite the reasoned

arguments of the contributors in courts

with due acknowledgement. Some

lawyers may feel diffident ábout citing

an article in court from a Student

Review! Why not call the publication

The Irish Law Review?

Of course, this

would not prevent the

Review

being

published by The Law Students'

Debating Society of Ireland.

The present

Review

maintains the high

level of competence of earlier issues

and is well worth reading. The editorial

board must be congratulated for

selecting a group of essays which ought

to be of value to the entire community

of lawyers, including the legal academy.

The

Review

will be a port of call for

many.

The

Review

is available from the editor,

King's Inn, Henrietta Street, Dublin 2,

at £10.00 plus £1.00 for postage and

packing. The subscription for students is

£5.00.
