11.8.E.
Within one hundred (100) feet, horizontal distance of the normal high-
water line of Bonny Eagle Pond, and within seventy five (75) feet, horizontal distance of
the normal high-water line of other water bodies, tributary streams or the upland edge of a
wetland, there shall be no clearcut openings and a well-distributed stand of trees and other
vegetation including existing ground cover shall be maintained. At distances greater than
one hundred (100) feet, horizontal distance of Bonny Eagle Pond and greater than seventy
five (75) feet, horizontal distance of the normal high-water line of other water bodies or the
upland edge of a wetland, harvesting operations shall not create single clearcut openings
greater than ten thousand (10,000) square feet in the forest canopy. Where such openings
exceed five thousand (5,000) square feet, they shall be at least one hundred (100) feet
apart. Such clearcut openings shall be included in the calculation of total volume removal.
11.8.F.
On any lot harvesting shall remove not more than forty percent (40%) of the volume
of trees four (4) inches or more in diameter measured at 4 1/2 feet above ground level in any ten (10) year
period. For the purposes of these standards, volume may be considered to be equivalent to basal area.
Article 65.
To see if theTownwill vote to authorize theBoardof Selectmen to accept or reject
any future grants that may be offered to the Town and authorize the Board
of Selectmen to expend any future grants, as long as they are in compliance
with the requirements of the grant. This authorization shall stay in effect until
repealed or rescinded by the legislative body.
Article 66.
To see if the Town will authorize the acceptance of gifts or monies designated
for the Buxton Toy Box Fund, Keep The Heat On, Community Day and other
local charitable assistance programs throughout the Fiscal Year, and further
to authorize the Selectmen’s appointed designees to purchase and distribute
those accepted gifts or monies throughout the Fiscal Year for persons in need
within the Town of Buxton.
Article 67.
To see if the Town will vote to:
1) accept Rescue Subscription fees from Buxton residents and credit the fees to
the Rescue Subscription Revenue Account; and
2) periodically transfer from the Rescue Subscription Revenue Account such
sums as may be necessary to pay the balances due on Buxton Rescue invoices
rendered to subscribers.
Article 68.
To see if the Town will authorize the Board of Selectmen to appropriate from
Rescue Billing Income 7% of fees collected to be paid to Medical Reimbursement
Services Inc. for services rendered.
Article 69.
To see if the Town will vote to accept and authorize the Selectmen to reimburse
the Police Department salaries account, with any funding received for
law enforcement grants, outside details, reimbursements from other law
enforcement agencies and court reimbursements.
