Bühler Würz Kaltwalztechnik GmbH combines decades of experience of the Würz
Group with the technical know-how of the cold rolling mill manufacturer Bühler & Co.
Based on Bühler´s experience of more than 125 years, and supplied plants for
over 1,000 applications, Bühler Würz is specialised in cold rolling mills for wire
and strip. Steel application can be covered as well as non-ferrous alloys.
The main focus of the business is the strip and wire industry, the precious metal
industry and various customised applications like PV-ribbon for the photo-
voltaic industry.
The synergetic effects of the fusion between Kämpfer Würz and Bühler Würz
arise, in particular, in PV-ribbon machines. The perfect adjustments of the rolling
mill, combined with adequate material selection for tooling of rolling emulsion and
suitable cleaning units, permit the following machine parameters:
• 1,000m/min exit speed
• ≤ 0.15 µm surface quality
• ≤ 0.002 mg/cm² remaining carbon
• max. ± 3 µm thickness tolerance
• 0.5-7mm width
• 0.035-1.5mm thickness
• ≤ 5mm/1,000mm camber effect
The unique integration of the cleaning unit in connection with the achieved
performance data, productivity, surface quality and close limits, are a
demonstration for the innovative ability of Bühler Würz.

Bühler Würz
The Videx VAS machine straightens
wire, cuts to length, threads one or
both ends and bends to shape. The
new line of VAS-DBQ machines allows
customers to change over between
parts without having to make bending
dies for each part.
The new machines are supplied with
a floating bending die that covers
the entire range of round and square
bottom U bolts, enabling customers to
make new sizes of U bolts in minutes.
The VAS-DBQ models are equipped
with a positive stripper system that
allows running the machines at the
fastest possible speed without risking
parts jamming.
