The process of identifying freshly extruded
wire can be challenging. The technique you
choose needs to keep up with a continuous
process even in the toughest manufacturing
environments. Since 1952, Gem Gravure
has been formulating inks for the wire and
cable industry which adhere to even the
most resistant of wire surfaces. The company
first sought out gravure wheel printing, and
raised the bar again by introducing ink jet
printing to wire and cable world.
Gem will be presenting the latest in ink jet ink
technology, and will also give a presentation
on the new products stage.
As of July 2014 the company received
confirmation that its patent US20130260037
was approved and published. Before this
patent, marking on fluoropolymers was done
using a contact wheel. This is the first ink jet
ink of its kind for marking fluoropolymers using
ink jet printers. This ink will be on display at
IWCS in two colors, including the BKG7761-LE
black ink and the GNG7765-LE green ink.
Ask about the blue pigmented BLG1866-LE
which provides the brightest contrast on
most wire surfaces.
TheGembooth will also feature the alphaJET
into. This printer is a good solution for wire
and cable due to its ability to produce
high quality prints at fast speeds. Customers
benefit from its low cost of operation, user
friendliness and variable printing. Additional
softwareworthmentioning is thediamondJET
connect which allows remote printing and
monitoring of alphaJET ink jet printers.
