Huber Engineered Materials

Huber Engineered Materials offers high
performing halogen-free fire-retardant
additives for wire and cable compounders
and producers. Huber’s expertise lies in
designing and producing alumina trihydrate
(ATH) and magnesium hydroxide (MDH)
flame retardants and smoke suppressants
and molybdate compounds to meet the
most demanding end-use requirements.
Huber will be exhibiting its fire retardant
additive product brands, including
high-purity and low-conductivity Hydral®
precipitated ATH; Hymod® surface treated
ATH; Micral® ATH; Vertex® MDH; Zerogen®
MDH; and Kemgard engineered molybdate
compounds, used for plenum cable
jacketing to meet the smoke requirement of
UL 910.
Huber’s Vertex® 100 SP and 100 SV
surface-treated magnesium hydroxide
products are designed for wire and cable
jacketing applications where a higher
processing temperature is necessary. These
two products enable high loadings in
jacketing compounds while maintaining an
excellent balance of elongation and tensile
strength.
Huber will be introducing Zerogen® 100
SP, a new magnesium hydroxide product
developed for improved mechanical
property balance and enhanced electrical
and color performance benefits where high
temperature wet electrical properties are
needed.
