WINES OF SOUTHERN ITALY

107

“Turriga” Isola dei Nuraghi IGT

Over many generations, the Argiolas family has worked diligently to become the leader in Sardinian

enology. In many ways, Turriga embodies the fulfillment of this goal. This wine is blended with a base

of Cannonau and small additions each of Carignano, Bovale Sardo, and Malvasia Nera, all meticulously

hand-selected from the Turriga estate in the countryside of S’elegas-Piscina Trigus. Turriga is the

flagship wine of the Argiolas estate and is a benchmark for winemaking in Sardinia.

“Angialis” Isola dei Nuraghi IGT

Angialis is a late-harvest sweet wine made from Nasco (a grape native to the island) with a small addition

of Malvasia di Cagliari. The grapes are harvested between late October and early November before a brief

appassimento at the winery. The wine is fermented in stainless-steel tanks and aged in French barriques.
