Margaux,
Château
Lafite,
Château
Latour,
Mouton,
and
many
others
which
have
attained
a
world-wide
réputation;
and
last,
but
not
least,
the
Château
Yquem,
king
of
ail
white
wines.
Notwithstanding
the
fact
that
the
wine
producers
and
prominent
chemists
in
California
have
done
their
utmost
to
imitate
as
nearly
as
possible
the
French
clarets,
it
has
been
of
no
avail.
Therefore,
the
French
clarets
will
always
stand
at
the
zénith
of
famé,
glory
and
réputation,
from
whence
no
com-
pétition
will
ever
dethrone
them.
