QFES delivers exceptional service utilising innovative and
Better Practice initiatives through:
• A strong culture of professionalism and expertise being deeply embedded
in QFES enabling valuable and timely information sharing.
• Opportunities for improvement being explored and developed into
Better Practice Models and Centres of Excellence which include
programs suitable for volunteers.
• QFES actively promoting and supporting the growth of healthier
communities with increased inclusion and participation in community
citizenship.
• Local leadership building community resilience through emergency service
volunteering.
• Centres of Excellence promoting Better Practice Models, through
contemporary research and sharing, and building upon local solutions
• Emergency service volunteers being supported by contemporary legislation.
The professionalism and expertise all of our people bring to our department is
incredible, with many innovative practices occurring across the state as a result.

To enable our department to learn from and build upon this

• What are some of the challenges we face in our traditional
