lpha Delta Pi was the first
secret society founded for
women in 1851 at Wesley–
an College in Macon,
Georgia. Alpha Delta Pi was found–
ed on the beliefs of scholarship,
high ideals, friendship and Chris–
tian womanhood which is symbol–
ized by the diamond four-point
which the wear close to their
hearts. The Zeta Pi Chapter, here
at USO was founded on November
5, 1977 as the first sorority on
campus. The chapter is bound by
loyalty, sisterhood and the open
motto "We live for each other."
Alpha Delta Pi sisters are dedi–
cated to working together in com–
munity service. Their national
philanthropy is the Ronald Mac–
Donald House. The sorority also

hood events which help enthusi–
asm flow throughout the year.
Pledge mom, Suzanne Bolton,
boasts of the new initiates which
will carry on their rich tradition as,
" ... truly exemplifying the spirit of
ADPi's loyalty, sincerity, enthusi–
asm, p,ide and hard work." Cath–
erine Pestey, president, sums up
the year, "ADPi is a circle of life–
long friends. The friendships,
memories and special times we
share make college life at USO
even better! I will be sad to gra–
duate, but I'm happy to know that
the sisters of ADPi will continue to
shine and carry on our proud tra–
dition."
