elta Tau Delta was
founded at the Universi–
ty of San Diego on Oc–
tober 28, 1988. Fifty–
one members began with the
challenge of establishing a
new and exciting fraternity on
campus. This gave us the op–
portunity to Incorporate new
and exciting traditions into our
chapter and the USD fraternity
system.
After two years of very hard
work the original brothers and
three subsequent pledge
classes received their National

Charter on October 10, 1990.
This was the pinnacle of our
achievements as a colony.
With our establishment as a
national fraternity, we will con–
tinue our strive for excellence.
In only two years we have be–
come a powerful force in the
USD Greek system. Accom–
plishments such as Greek
Week champions of 1990, and
the Intramural Champs every
semester it has been awarded,
exemplify our vigor.
