he Institute of Electrical
and Electronic Engineers
was a professional organl·
zatlon open to all students
who were Interested In the fields of
electronic engineering, computer
science, mathematics, and phys–
ics. This organization was founded
in 1884 with the purpose of giving
students, teachers and profession–
als an opportunity to meet and
learn from each other. This year's
president was Oreg Norombaba.

n the communications field,
majors and minors could
take different routes of stud·
les. Despite the differences
in their studies, these students
could still get together to discuss
internships, Job Interviews, and
developments In the communica–
tions field. These gatherings of
students In their studies became
known as the Communication
Studies Society. The president of
the society this year was Todd
fer–
guson.
LAISSEZ-FAIRE
CLUB
hen students had an In·
terest in the field of eco–
nomics and how econom–
ics effected their every
day world, theyJoined the Laissez·
faire Club. The majority of the
members were Econ. majors, but
the club was not closed to Just
them. This club offered to mem–
bers a variety of activities. They
hosted special speakers from
businesses and the government.
President Al lngallfner worked
hard to bring new and beneficial
activities to the group.
