Merinox specialises in seamless
instrumentation and hydraulic tubing,
with a stock of over two million metres

stainless steel to difficult-to-source

6MO, Alloy 825 and Super Duplex

Non-corrodible heating and cooling
equipment
E Braude, based in the UK, has been
serving industry for over 55 years. It is
primarily a process heating specialist
manufacturer of non-corrodible heating
and cooling equipment for the highly
corrosive liquids typically found in
pickling and similar processes in the
pipe and metal-based industries.
“We are focused on the liquids and
conditions other suppliers would avoid,”
said David Snoxhill, MD. “Our expertise
is in aggressive and corrosive solutions
that conventional equipment cannot
withstand.”
Braude has been exporting for many
years, and has recently increased
its efforts in the Asian markets. The
company was approached by a
stainless steel mill manufacturer in India
who required high output 400,000 kcal/
hr heaters for its offline pickling tanks.
Braude designed and built steam heat
exchangers specifically to suit the
company’s tanks, while meeting the
challenges of its cost profile. Braude
also undertook a contract in Asia to
supply heat exchangers for the pre-
treatment line for one of the largest
galvanising plants in the world.
All Braude products are manufactured
from high integrity chemically inert
fluoropolymers (eg Teflon™), and
are designed to ensure long life in
aggressive solutions.
The product range includes tank and
vessel heaters/coolers for use with
steam, hot water or thermal fluids;
chemical service pumps; external
heating systems that are mounted
outside the process tank to avoid
clutter and to prevent damage by heavy
workloads; and electric heaters and
controllers.

Flexible waveguide tubing and components
ATW Companies Inc is a supplier of
precision tubing and fabricated metal
components. Its range includes flexible
waveguide tubing and waveguide
components, manufactured by the
AT Wall Company, that are suited to
satellite applications and other airborne
and space systems.
Products include seamless flexible
waveguide, flexible twistable
waveguide, flexible waveguide, and
semi-flexible waveguide. In addition
to tubing, the company now offers
components for all these flexible
waveguide types. AT Wall supplies
flexible waveguides in beryllium-
copper (BeCu), brass and phosphorous
bronze in a wide range of sizes, from
WR22 to WR650. Seamless flexible
waveguide is applicable to airborne
systems and space in all satellite
applications.
Through the company’s stocking
programme, standard sizes of this
tubing are shipped to customers within
five days from stock. All other special
waveguide sizes are made to order. The
company says that its manufacturing
facility in Warwick, Rhode Island, USA,
is on the cutting edge of waveguide
manufacturing technology.
