Major
Caribbean
contract for
Hydratight
GLOBAL joint integrity and engineering
services company Hydratight has won a
major order in the Caribbean.
The company is to supply over a quarter of
amillion dollarsworthof bolting andmachining
tools to Trinidad-based construction-support
company, RBG Portable.
The order includes Hydratight’s DL Ricci
line-boring machine and milling machines,
boring bars and clamshells, and its RSL
torque equipment, torque pumps, manual
torque wrenches and impact sockets.
The order replaces virtually all RBG
Portable’s machining equipment, which was
nearing the end of its useful life.
“Parent company RBG Scotland had
wanted to standardise its preferred global
suppliers for ease of interpretation and
training, and wanted the Trinidad operation
to use suppliers from that list,” explained
Hydratight’s Trinidad manager Paul Prudent.
“But RBG Portable is one of RBG’s top-
performing divisions and has long experience
and a great relationship with our company,
so they wanted to retain our equipment.
The strong case put forward by the Trinidad
operation successfully persuaded the head
office to let it continue with that relationship.
“We’re proud to have received such a
strong vote of confidence from a major
Caribbean partner. RBG Portable is one of
the biggest and best-known companies in its
sector and we’re delighted to continue our
work with the company.
“We are always very happy to build
this level of trust and confidence with our
customers; as we have already found all over
the world, it helps us to give the best service
and advice possible. Great relationships start
with good experiences and we look forward to
having the chance to build strong relationships
with other companies in the region.”
