THE new Xtra.tec F4338 porcupine cutter

from tooling giant Walter offers maximum

process reliability in high-volume, heavy-

duty machining applications thanks to an

additional axial fixed stop that holds the

first row of inserts.

Available in diameters from 63mm to

125mm, the F4338 features large insert

seats for type AD.T 1807 indexable

inserts, which can be sintered on

their full circumference or

circumference ground.

With helically-arranged

cutting edges, plunge

depths up to 95mm can be

achieved – and the cutter can

be applied to all steels and

cast irons (with Tiger.tec

Silver inserts) as well as

hard-to-machine materials

(with PVD-Alox coated

inserts). One-piece tool bodies

with HSK or SK fittings are available,

and the tool can also be supplied as a

Heavy-duty milling

An additional axial fixed stop
