I would
like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of
my predecessor, Catherine Quin, who has helped to deliver an
incredible calendar of CPD events in South Australia over the
past five years. I have some large shoes to fill!
My journey up to this point has been rather interesting. After
initially working in paediatrics, I took a hiatus from speech
pathology and used the time to travel and pursue my interests
in health and fitness, while working in community engagement/
event organisation within the tertiary education sector.
In recent years I relocated from Melbourne to the beautiful
state of South Australia (read: amazing wineries, beaches and
national parks!) and completed the Speech Pathology Australia
Re-Entry program with a focus on extending my adult practice
knowledge and competencies. My professional areas of interest
are dysphagia, aphasia and acquired neurogenic disorders.
I feel fortunate to be working with Sharon and the supportive
team at National Office and, locally, the talented SA PLWG
team of Barb Lyndon, Kat Bray, Erin Parker and Kristen Brown.
Together we are looking forward to continuing to provide South
Australians with a wide range of opportunities to update and
extend their professional knowledge.
I look forward to connecting with our SPA SA members this year.
Please don’t hesitate to introduce yourself at one of our many
upcoming CPD events or contact me on the details below.
If you would like to become further involved in Speech Pathology
Australia at a Branch level in South Australia, please don’t
