ANGLE Systems LLC, a designer,
developer and integrator of high-speed
metrology, inspection and automation
system solutions involving vision and
laser based sensor technologies, has
introduced a new metrology product for
the tubing industry.
The WTVS-1 (wall thickness vision
system) measures ID, OD, wall thickness
and concentricity of single- and double-
wall tubing using machine vision
technology. The system can be used for
off-line measurements on the production
floor as well as in a lab. System features
include bench top configuration, high
resolution industrial camera, computer
controlled lighting, touch screen monitor,
calibration using NIST traceable
standard and fixed magnification or zoom
options. Advantages include an easy-to-
use interface and auto-measurement
algorithm.
