Tolerance Level
and
Action Level useful

If a daily measurement is within the
tolerance level
, no action is required.
If the measured result exceeds the
action level
, immediate action is necessary and
the machine must not be used clinically until the problem is corrected and the
correction is verified by measurement.
However, if the measurement falls
between
tolerance and action levels, this may
be considered acceptable until the next measurement.
If
repeated measurements
remain consistently between tolerance and action
levels, adjustment is required.
Any measurement at any time outside the action level requires immediate
investigation and, if confirmed, rectification.
