The Tettex 2830/2831 is designed to test
dielectric properties of liquid and solid
insulating materials.
It incorporates a fast and highly advanced
procedure to measure Capacitance and
tan, DC resistance and relative permittivity
or (dielectric constant) of liquid or solid
insulating materials.
A simple one-time-connection system
together with resistance measurement
according to pre-selectable standards
drastically reduces measuring time.
The instrument works on the principle of a
combined bridge-vector-meter and is
capable of analysing capacitance and
resistivity on oil and solid insulating
samples with outstanding accuracy
(capacitance 0.2%, tan 1x10-5) and
stability.
The graphical user interface of the
instrument is highly intuitive, is focussed on
convenience with built-in useful programs
and uses a large colour touch screen as the
input device.
While the manual mode provides quick
measurements, the automatic test mode
supports complete programmed and
automated test sequences according to
selectable standards.
Advanced software and hardware
functionalities such as defining up to ten
cells, heating two test cells at the same
time and graphical visualisation of
measured data make this instrument a
powerful tool for analysis of high-voltage
insulating materials.
The instrument incorporates standard USB
and ethernet interfaces which enable easy
exchange of measurement results, related
settings, etc for further analysis or
reporting.

Lukas Anlagenbau GmbH is a global
supplier of machinery for the wire and cable
industry, located in Albersrieth (Factory 1)
and Vohenstrauß ( Factory 2), Germany. It is
known for its high quality and high preci-
sion products, and provides both standard
machinery and customised solutions.
The company was established in
Albersrieth in 1959, and originally
manufactured electrical switchgear and
switching equipment. In 1971, it developed
and started production of electrical
equipment for drawing machines and
take-ups for cables. Production was further
expanded, and since 1984 the firm has
supplied complete lines of machines for
manufacturing wires, cables and associ-
ated accessories. In 1997 a new production
and administration building was established
in Vohenstrauß.
A vertical taping line with vertical in-line
sintering oven will be exhibited at wire
2012. The line is suitable for nearly all kinds
of tape, such as PTFE, Kapton, mica,
polyester, fleece, laminated tapes and
metal tapes. High speed and precision
taping is enabled by a closed loop tape
tension control and a very precise speed
synchronisation between the capstan and
the taping heads.
Depending on the application, the line can
be equipped with a cooling unit for the
taping area or equipment for quality control.
Equipment for remote control via Internet
can also be provided.
