Established in 1990, Shenyang Tianrong
Cable Materials is a global supplier of water
blocking materials and semi-conductive
shielding materials for optical fibre cable
and power cable.
Tianrong offers an extensive range of
cable-use water blocking tapes, water
blocking yarns, semi-conductive wrapping
tapes and other taping materials.
Its products demonstrate important
features: high-performance, process-friend-
liness, consistency in quality and cost-
effectiveness. These features are maintained
by ISO9001-certified plants, and reinforced
by a strong R&D team, guaranteed by
advanced production lines, and furnished
with effective customer service. Occupying
50,000m2 of land, Tianrong boasts three
modern plants located in Shenyang
Economic and Technical Development
Zone. The three plants house 14 production
lines for tapes and yarns, slitting facilities and
one weaving plant with 22 weaving units.
Total capacity reached 5,000 tons in 2009,
and the figure is growing fast as new
investment has been made to further
increase efficiency and productivity.
The company’s non-conductive water
blocking tape series includes double-layer
water blocking tape; single-layer water
blocking tape; and film laminated water
blocking tape. Its semi-conductive water
blocking tape series consists of double-
layer water blocking tape; single-layer
water blocking tape; water blocking binding
tape; bulky water blocking tape; and
double-swell water blocking binding tape.
The semi-conductive tape series includes
woven nylon tape, woven polyester tape,
non-woven tape, tetoron tape, polyester-
cotton tape and butyl rubber tape. The
company also produces low-smoke,
halogen-free, flame retardant tape;
insulative tape; copper wire shielding tape;
water blocking yarn; water blocking rope;
and polyester film. In China, Tianrong
claims to have 80% market share for fabric
tapes used in HV and EHV power cable. In
the overseas market, Tianrong products are
supplied to more than 60 cable
manufactures in more than 30 countries
and areas.
