What prompted

your decision to get

into the streaming

scene?

After making

YouTube videos for so

long, I decided streaming

was the next step for me. I try

to do it as much as I can since it

allows me to connect and perform

to my audience in a completely

different way to making YouTube

videos.

How hard is it to get noticed

and to start amassing a

following?

It can be quite challenging,

especially now with so many

YouTubers and streamers out

there. But I strongly believe

that the cream still rises to

the top. If you make great

content and are doing your

own thing well, along with

collaboration with others,

you can get noticed

and start creating

something special.

What advice would

you give to anyone

thinking about starting

out in the streaming business?

Just go for it. Get yourself set

up, learn all about it; don’t worry

about making mistakes or looking

silly. And above all else, just have

fun! That’s why all the original

guys started doing it, so that’s

exactly why you should want to

do it too.

Is streaming a full-time effort

for you? Is it feasible to make a

living out of doing something

like this?

Thankfully, I am able to make

a living off my YouTube channel

and my Twitch channel. I currently

focus all my energy into it after

leaving my old job about two years

ago. I’ve had some great jobs

Do you have what it takes to be a dedicated video game streamer?

There's quite a bit more to it than you'd think. Here'sTheMasterBucks

on what you need to get noticed as a content producer.

entertaining people for a living is

the best.

You use Elgato game capture

devices.What makes Elgato

such a stand-out as far as game

capture cards go?

They are by far the leaders in

the market. There are barely any

other game capture products

out there that match the great

standards of Elgato.

What’s it like working with

them?

It’s cool. Being able to work

closely with a company that is

essential for me to do my job is

not just beneficial for me, but

for my fans. I get to give away

Elgatos from time to time which is

always great – to give back to my

followers.

How easy is it to set up and get

started?

It’s pretty simple so long as you

have very basic computer skills

and know where to plug what

into where. The software is very

simple to download, set up and

navigate. It takes no time at all to

learn the ins and outs of Game

Capture HD60S.

What is the software like? Is it

very user-friendly?

It’s certainly not a difficult piece

of software to pick up and

learn. It can be as simple as

hitting a big, red button once

you’re all set up and ready to

go for recording. But if you’re

interested in some of the

other features, like streaming

assistance and multi-channel

audio recording, they have very

easy ways of setting those up too.

How is the Australian streaming

scene?

The Australian scene is

definitely behind regions like

the US and UK who seem to do

incredibly well. I think we need

more Australian viewers to get

behind and support local creators

and streamers. There are heaps

of us out there who do some

amazing stuff! As time goes on,

I’m sure we’ll have heaps of big

Aussie YouTubers and streamers

and a thriving community.

I strongly believe

that the cream still

rises to the top
