Medek & Schörner produces cable marking machines and optical fibre processing
lines, and covers virtually the entire spectrum of machines for marking and
printing of wires and cables and coding
optical fibres.
The company’s product range begins with
extremely simple coding machines, and
extends all the way to fully automated
machines using cutting-edge technology
for use in high-speed production lines. The
capacity of any system can be increased
quickly and easily by exchanging individual
components.
New components from Medek & Schörner are
always compatible, even if a system has been
in operation for many years.
The company’s product range includes high
quality gravure printers for LAN cables, control
cables, etc, for speeds up to 1,200m/min,
providing better performance and printing
quality compared to ink-jet-printers, in
particular on critical insulation material.
Embossing metre markers/hot foil sequential
metre markers provide high accuracy of
length measurement (for power cables, tele-
communication cables, optical fibre cables,
etc). The company produces high performance
ring markers for speeds up to 2,500m/min,
for telephone wires, switchboard wires,
automotive cables and LAN cables.
Medek & Schörner also manufactures a line of highly specialised precision marking
machines to cover those applications where conventional markers may not be the
optimal choice, such as laser printers.

Formed in 1907, Mazzoleni manufactures galvanised steel wire for
cable armouring in low and high carbon quality, and in a production
range of 0.8mm diameter to 12mm, according to EN 10257 in tensile
class from 34-165.
For high performance cables flat wire is mostly used in 7x2mm to
20x4mm in heavy galvanised quality.
The company also has a new high performance galvanising line in
order to meet the specific technical requirements of cable armouring,
and this guarantees the continuous growth of the company in the
international market.
The company also holds the ISO 9001 and since 2003 the certificate for
environmental management, ISO 14001.

Queins & Co, Germany, in addition to its
long years’ experience in manufacturing
stranding machines, is engaged in
building complete extrusion lines.
Available from stock is a new
combi-extrusion line for XLPE (Silan
processed), PVC, PE and TPR. Three
extruders are available (65mm, 150mm
and 90mm), all L/D = 25, including
payoff/take-up 2,500mm, along with two
caterpillar capstans, Plasticolor mixing
stations, Sikora laser measuring heads,
and Medek & Schörner hot stamping
marking device.
Queins also builds extrusion line
accessories such as heavy-duty payoffs
and take-ups, and pushing and pulling
caterpillar capstans.
