School of Medicine, and he is also Vice President for Research and Health Policy at
Pinney Associates, a consulting firm in Bethesda, Maryland, that specializes in science
policy and regulatory issues concerning public health, medications development, and
behavior-focused disease management. Dr. Henningfield has contributed information
relating to addiction to numerous reports of the U.S. Surgeon General, the National
Academy of Sciences, and the World Health Organization.
