is professor of

Mr. Henderson earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Centenary College of
Louisiana, and a master’s degree in history from the University of Arizona. He then
spent three years in the Peace Corps, serving in Colombia, before earning his doctorate
in Latin American history in 1972 at Texas Christian University.
Colleen Madonna Flood Williams
is the author of more than 10 nonfiction children’s
books. Colleen resides in Homer, Alaska, with her husband, Paul, son Dillon Meehan,
and their dog, Kosmos Kramer.
