Complete production lines
for API tubes
THE Asmag Group is a supplier of
machinery and equipment for the steel,
stainless steel and non-ferrous metal
industry. It combines two enterprises:
Asmag and Seuthe.
Asmag, Austria, designs and
manufactures drawing, straightening,
testing, cutting, chamfering, stacking
and bundling machines. Seuthe,
Germany, designs and manufactures
tube and section mills.
The Asmag Group has the capability to
design and manufacture complete tube
welding lines within the diameter range
4-323mm (0.2" to 12.7") and integrated
finishing lines according to API standard
– from sheet coil to ready-to-sell tube
bundles. Whether for the planning of
complete plants, design and manufacture
of individual machinery or modernisation
of existing plants, the group emphasises
smooth material flow, high automation
and economical operation.
Contrary to the general trend, Asmag
Group manufactures its machines and
installations in its own workshops in
Austria and Germany. Engineering,
automation, production and assembly
take place under a single roof. This
results in high manufacturing standards,
flexibility and personal service and
support. Recent successful installations
include a 10 roll straightening machine
with chamfering unit and testing line
for seamless API tubes in the diameter
range from 38 to 180mm (1.5" to 7")
with fully automated adjustment of the
chamfering tools; and an API tube mill
with CTA cage forming, diameter range
from 60 to 219mm (2.4" to 8.6"), inline
testing devices, inline annealing, flying
multi-head saw and highest grade of
automation.

Tube and pipe processing
machinery
AXXAIR, one of the leading companies
in the field of tube and pipe processing
machines, cutting, bevelling and orbital
welding has announced that its new
facing line is now available.
This facing line completes the thin
wall processing needs in terms of
squaring tube ends especially for
polished and electropolished tubes that
are usually cut shipless.
When cutting shipless tubes the end
of the tube is not ready to be welded
and needs to be squared first. During
this operation, the ships must not go
to the inside of the tube in order to
keep the surface finish 100 per cent
untouched. This is the rule of the new
squaring machines that allow the user to
square tubes in order to have a perfect
preparation for the orbital welding
process. High tech industries such as
semiconductor and pharmaceutical
but also aerospace have all a need for
such tools.
AXXAIR’s new innovation, the
QUICKX system on its battery drill
allows the company to use several
heads with the same motor in order to
be productive and flexible. The drill can
be use for normal drilling purposes as
well.
Combined with a very easy to
operate clamping system the machines
offer best in class performances. The
models are DC25, DC65, DCPACK
and latest the DC221 based on the
concentric clamping system.
Customers can find more information
about it at:
www.axxair.com. On the
webpages you will find AXXAIR’s global
process offer, from the largest range
of orbital cutting machines to unique
carbide bevelling through to a complete
range of orbital welding heads.
AXXAIR will keep its efforts to offer
its customers innovative solutions that
cut off costs and get very high quality
standards.
Four subsidiaries in Asia, Germany,
and USA as well as a trained network
of distributors will help you anytime with
demonstrations an technical support:
operations are global and support
guaranteed.
