Description
The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) will transport natural gas from Kipoi in Greece near the Greek/Turkish border, via Albania and across the Adriatic
Sea, to Italy’s southern Puglia region in Province of Lecce. In its upstream part, TAP will interconnect with TANAP which is linked further to the east
with systems in Turkey, to secure access to the Shah Deniz natural gas field in Azerbaijan and tie into Italy’s gas transportation grid operated by
Snam Rete Gas in the province of Lecce. TAP's capacity can be expanded up to a total of 20 bcm/a, subject to binding market demand. The
Expansion Capacity will be offered to the market via market tests, from no later than start of operations and subsequently every two years.
