5. Image fusion / registration
Recommendations
• Image fusion for RT TP demands accurately aligned image
volumes.
• For the purpose of RT TP based on PET or PET/CT and CT
images at this moment, only linear registration algorithms should
be employed clinically.
• The accuracy of co-registration must be checked prior to
proceeding with the TP process on the aligned data sets.
