Region Chair
Joins In
Devon Branch was joined by Regional Chair
John Bull and his wife Anitra at a Branch
meeting.
Members were told about visit to their Branch
by Bob Milton, an officer from Orange County,
California. Steve and Una Blundell hosted him
for 10 days after which he went on to stay with
our Vice Chair Rab Peattie and Jenny. Bob was
researching his ancestry in the Cullompton and
Teignmouth areas. Members arranged a visit
to Cullompton police Station where team leader
Insp Jane Alford-Mole made the visitors feel most
welcome. She also arranged for Bob to have an
afternoon with officers on patrol which he enjoyed
very much.
You can read Bob’s own account of his trip
on page 12.

Szilas with part of his collection
Szilas says, ‘My attractive collection has been on a successful and
well-received traveling display, enjoyed by many in several cities in
Hungary and Slovakia so far. One of my additional goals is to bring
law enforcement work closer to people; as a result, I have received
recognition in my home country as well as abroad.’
