Pilgrimage
Humberside Branch had its annual pilgrimage
to what we believe is, probably, the best Fish
Restaurant in North Yorkshire – Walkers at
East Ayton during August; and Scarborough
Branch members were invited along too.
We ended up with 26 attendees from Humberside,
Scarborough, York, Northumbria and Sussex as
Karel – our Regional Chair and Dave Stamp from
Sussex were both on holiday nearby.
As usual the restaurant provided an excellent
meal. My personal thanks to all for making a
memorable evening even more so.
Tip: – if you decide to try Walkers, we suggest you
have a main course (do not try a Large fish unless
you have a VERY healthy appetite) and then see if
you have room for one of their sweet courses!

New IPA House Plaques
IPA Houses are to receive new IPA House Plaques for permanent display.
All IPA Houses are issued an IPA House Plaque for permanent display at the
accommodation venue. The Plaques are issued by the International Executive Board (IEB)
and a recent decision to replace old and worn out Plaques resulted in a decision to have a
total makeover of their design.
Gal Sharon, 1st International Vice President suggests all IPA Houses will receive their
Plaques in the coming months.
Be the first to see one of the Plaques on display. Send in a photo of yourself, next to the
Plaque, along with a few lines of news about your stay in the IPA accommodation and
you’ll win an IPA t-shirt*. Open to members of Section UK only - please give your name,
membership number and whether you require a M or L t-shirt.

IPA Wallets
Section UK Wallets, incorporating a metal
badge, are available for members to order
direct from the manufacturer.
The wallets are designed and produced by the
Metal Badge company in Switzerland. Note:
VAT may be payable on delivery owing to the
company being based in Switzerland (non EU).
When the company despatches an order they
have to put a sticker on it to reflect the value.
If it’s over a certain amount, it is then liable to
VAT in the UK.
