INSOLVENCY

I act for a client who submitted a

complaint to the Ombudsman,

against the Department of Labour

for allegedly not advising him,

within 18 months of an award, that

payment could only be made from

the Insolvency Fund if a liquidator

was appointed within 18 months of

the award. My client understands

that a number of similar cases were

submitted to the Ombudsman and

that my client's case was to be

decided before a decision was

made on the other cases. My client

is anxious to meet with others who

submitted complaints with a view

to discussing future action/sharing

of legal costs etc. Replies to Box

No. 92.
