7.2.4 SUPPLY SOURCE DEPENDENCE

The supply source dependence is the minimum share of a given source that a

country needs in order to cover its demand, and that cannot be covered by another

supply source. The indicator from ENTSOG CBA methodology showing the depend-

ence to a given supply source is the Cooperative Supply Source Dependence

(CSSD). In this indicator, the dependence to each supply source is analysed

independently, assuming cooperation between member States in order to share the

level of dependence to a given supply source.

Norway & Russia

In 2017, the countries of the South Region need a percentage of the gas coming

from Norway to cover their demand, linked to the limited supply flexibility of other

sources

demand without showing any dependence to this source.
