Bank Acting as Executor.

A letter from a member drawing.- attention

to the action of a bank, which acted as

executor and trustee of a will, under which a

client of the member was entitled to a legacy

and an ultimate share of the residue, and in

which the member communicated with the

_bank in the interests of his. client, and the

bank, having corresponded with the member,

subsequently

addressed

communications

direct

to

the client notwithstanding the

protest of the member. The Council directed

a letter to be written to the bank inviting its

observations on the matter.

Legal Text-Books.

A special Committee was appointed to

.continue the consideration of the question of

the want of legal text-books for use in the

Courts of the Irish Free State.

OBITUARY.

MR. HENRY J. HARRIS, Solicitor, died on

the 8th January, 1935, at his residence,

Beresford Row, The Mall, Armagh.

Mr. Harris was admitted in Easter Term,

1864, and practised at Armagh up to 1922,

when he retired.,.._.._.__.._._.

MR. J. MOORE BOYLE, Solicitor, died on

the 15th January, 1935.

Mr. Boyle served his apprenticeship with

his uncle, the late Mr. Hunter Moore, Newry :

was admitted in Hilary Sittings, 1912, and

practised at--Newry up to 1931, when he

retired.

MR. JOHN M. SALMON, Solicitor, died on

the 20th January, 1935, at his residence,

35 South Main Street, Naas,.

Mr. Salmon served his apprenticeship with

Mr. Peter J. McCann, Naas :

was admitted

in Michaelmas Sittings, 1922, and practised

as a member of the firm of Messrs. Brown &

McCann, at Naas.

MR. GEORGE N. PROCTOR, Solicitor, died

on the 26th January, 1935.

Mr. Proctor was admitted

in Trinity'

Sittings, 1887, and practised at Limavady.
