Montrachet is considered to be the best of the white wines
of Burgundy.
2. The Cote Chalonnaise.
An area which lies to the south of the Cote de Beaune,
in which a great deal of ordinary wine is produced,amongst
which the following are the best known:—
Mercurey—Red.
Rully—White (some of this wine is made"into sparkling
wine).
