Center drills are used in a drill press, milling

machine or lathe to start the hole to be drilled.

The large body diameter and small drill size

make them extremely rigid, thus eliminating

any flex or ‘walk’ you will experience with

other drills. Use to start the hole and to drill

‘centers’ on stock to be turned in a lathe.

Designed to drill through hard-to-drill

materials such as hardened receivers and

hardened knife blades. Fractional sizes are

usually used for drilling pin, rivet and thong

holes in blade tangs while the #28 and #31 are

used for drilling receivers for scope mounts.

For better results and longer drill life, run at

speed specified for each size. Carbide drills

are very brittle and must be used with great

care. No warranty on this item.

Made in the USA.

Pin reamers are turned by hand to taper a pin

hole so the pin can be peined to expand to the

tapered hole for a strong hold. Can also be

used to enlarge undersize holes. The reamers

are tapered .005" per 1/4". Must use Tap and

Reamer Wrench #RA712 sold separately.

High speed steel counterbores are used

in knifemaking to counterbore bolsters for

pivot pins on folder blades and countersink

the pivot pin screw heads. Counterbores are

designed to cut steel, aluminum, titanium,

and other metals. Can also be used on

wood, Micarta, G10, and other handle

materials to countersink the handle fastener.

Counterbores and pilots are sold separately

to mix and match for the pivot pin size needed

for your project.
