The attendance was^not up to the high standard
o f some recent meetings and it is hoped that the
valued support o f the members concerned and of
others, who were for various reasons unable to
attend, w ill be forthcoming at future meetings.

The dinner held subsequent to the meeting was
presided over by Mr. Quirke who presented the
prizes. It was remarked that Mr. McKeever, the
winner o f the Challenge Cup, had already got his
name on this trophy from a competition held
23 years ago and the support which he and similar
members had given the Society over the years was
very much appreciated.
The Officers elected for

in welcoming the new Captain many tributes were
paid to him in respect o f the many years during
which he had acted as Honorary Treasurer.
Following upon the very successful and enjoyable
Interprovincial meeting held at Little Island Golf
Club, Co. Cork last year on the invitation o f the
Southern Law Association, a similar meeting was
held this year on Saturday the 17 October at Bal
moral Golf Club under the auspices o f the Belfast
Solicitors’ Association.
In the Interprovincial team contest (Stableford)
Ulster won with a total of 166 points, Leinster
being second with 154 points. Some o f the Leinster
