resident over 30 miles away was won by Mr. Eugene

Gillan (18) of Drogheda with a score of 6 down,

who beat Mr. C. L. McAllister of Dundalk. The

best score for the 1st nine was won by Mr. J . P.

Tyrrell (21) with all square, and the best score

for the 2nd nine was won by Mr. L. K . Branigan (13)

with 1 up.

Most of the competitors attended Dinner in the

Club House after the Competition. Arrangements

are in progress for the Autumn outing and members

will be notified of the date and venue as soon as

possible.

CORRECTION.

A paragraph in the May issue of the Society’s

gazette

contained a misprint and is re-printed

hereunder :—

Agency commission with English solicitors.

Members belong to a Bar Association, the rules

of which include a provision that agency commission

should not be allowed to other solicitors. They

enquired whether in the opinion of the Council,

such a rule would prevent them from allowing

agency commission to English solicitors. A report

of a committee to which the matter was referred,

and which was adopted by the Council, stated that

having regard to the arrangement between the

Society and the English Law Society

July-August, 1952, page 16) it is not

expedient that the rule of the local Bar Association

should apply to the usual agency commission

between Irisn and English solicitors and the

commission should therefore be allowed.

annexed hereto, for the issue of Certificates of

Title in substitution for .the original Certificates

issued in respect of the lands specified in the said

Schedule, which original Certificates, it is alleged,

have been lost or inadvertently destroyed.

A duplicate Certificate will be issued in each case,

except a case in respect o f which notification is

received in tnis Registry within 28 days from the

publication of this notice, that the Certificate of

Title is still in existence, and in the custody of

some person other than the registered owner.

Any such notification should state the grounds on

which such Certificate is being held.
