o f The Dublin Solicitors’

Bar Association at which a large and representative

body were present was held in the Council Chamber

o f the Incorporated Law Society Buildings by the

kind permission o f the Society on Saturday the 13 th

o f December, 1952- Among the distinguished

guests who attended this enjoyable function were

the President o f the High Court Mr. Justice Cahir

Davitt, the President o f the Circuit Court Mr.

Justice Shannon and the President o f the Incor­

porated Law Society. The Dinner was preceded

by a reception at which the President of the Associa­

tion, Mr. Ralph A . Walker welcomed the members

and their guests.

A Special Sub-Committee o f the Association has

recently been appointed in order to arrange several

meetings in the early part of 195 3 at which important

guests will deliver lectures on matters of interest

to the profession. The Association is anxious to

increase its Membership and those wishing to join

should communicate with either the Hon. Treasurer,

Mr. Desmond A. O’Connor of 140, St. Stephen’s

Green, Dublin or Mr. Eunan McCarron, the Hon.

Secretary at 18 Hume Street, Dublin.
