contribution for the apprentice during the period
o f the apprenticeship. The weekly contribution of
4 8d. during a period of five years would amount
to £60-13-4 . It may be that the Minister will
accede to the Society’s representations but your
Committee may think fit to notify the members of
your Association of the position in case some of
them may at the present time contemplate taking

DUBLIN SOLICITORS’ BAR
ASSOCIATION
Representatives of the Dublin Solicitors’ Bar-
Association recently had an interview with the
Assistant Secretary o f the Estate Duty Office,
Dublin. Members of the profession had felt that
the number o f Estate Duty forms handed out by
the Estate Duty Office was frequently inadequate
for their needs. The Assistant Secretary explained
that in many cases Solicitors obtained forms and
in fact subsequently found that the forms they had
obtained were not correct and that this gave rise
to considerable waste. I f solicitors made sure that
they were obtaining the correct form then a greater
number could be given out on demand.
It will probably facilitate the members of the
profession if practitioners would please note the
following :—
1. Forms A .i., A.4., B .i., are for use only
where the death occurred before 1st April, 1923.
Forms A .iF ., A.4F., B .iF ., where the death occurred
from April 1st, 1923 to December the 25th, 1937.
A .iE ., A .4E., B .iE ., where death occurred from
December 29th, 1937 to April the 17th, 1949.
Forms A .iR ., A.4R., B .iR ., where death occurred
on or since April 18th, 1949.
2. Forms A .iR ., A.4R., and B .iR . are obtainable
at Money Order Post Offices throughout the country.
The other (obsolescent) forms are not, but they
can be obtained direct from the Estate Duty Office
upon application.
