here is a reason that what lawyers
do is called “practice,” as opposed
to something else. Much of what
we do is a combination of art and science.
Or, perhaps to be more precise, much of
what we do is a combination of art
and
compliance with the rules of procedure.
Taking a good deposition is an art
and
a
science; to be good takes both hard work
and
practice. It is our hope that some of
these recommendations will accelerate the
learning curve.
Proper preparation prevents poor
performance.
