delicious
beverage,
which,
if
compounded
in
a
proper
manner,

intoxicating
as
it
has
the
character
of
being,

a
composition
of
sugar,
lemon,
water,
or
milk,
and
spirit,
with
the
addition
of
some
aromatic
or
cordial
;
wine
being
sometimes
substituted
for
the
spirit.
There
is
no
precise
rule
for
making
punch,
no
two
persons
agreeing
in
the
exact
proportions
of the

gredients.
The

secret
is
that
the
mixture
should

happily
