BOARD MEMBERS' COMPENSATION/REIMBURSEMENT
1. The members of the Board shall receive no annual salary, but may receive per diem compensation as authorized by Section
25-3-69, Mississippi Code of 1972, for each day or fraction thereof devoted to the discharge of Board duties or official
Board meetings.
2. The members of the Board shall be entitled to reimbursement for expenses such as meals, lodging and other necessary
expenses incurred in the discharge of their duties, including the current rate per mile actually and necessarily traveled as
authorized by Section 25-3-41, Mississippi Code, 1972.
3. The discharge of official Board duties shall consist of attending regular and called meetings of the Board and attending
meetings at which the attendance of the Board member(s) is required as an official assignment by the Board. Reimbursable
per diem and travel for an official assignment by the Board must be authorized and recorded in the official minutes for other
than regularly scheduled Board meetings.
Non-allowable assignments will include but not be limited to:
(a) Meetings for which attendant is entitled to per diem from a source other than the Board.
