POLICY AND PROCEDURE FOR INVENTORY AND TRANSFER OF WORKFORCE TRAINING EQUIPMENT

All equipment transferred from the Mississippi Department of Education Industrial Training Program to the Mississippi

Community College Board shall become the property of the local community and junior college with the following exceptions

and conditions:

(1) All mobile units, and the equipment contained in these said mobile units, shall remain on the Mississippi Community

College Board inventory.

(2)

Any equipment on said inventory list not used for the primary purpose of workforce education shall be made available

to the Mississippi Community College Board for the purpose of reallocation.

(3)

Any such equipment not utilized for the primary purpose of workforce training shall be reallocated or salvaged in

accordance with the state law and applicable policies and procedures related to disposal of surplus equipment. The

MCCB staff and local Community and Junior College representative shall deal with applicable of this section on a

case-by-case basis.

(4) Any equipment purchased subsequently with workforce education funds shall follow the conditions specified in this

policy and procedure.
