Nancy and I would like to thank all of you who attended our Commodore’s Ball and shared a
great and wonderful evening with us. From the comments we have received, both during and
after the Ball, everyone enjoyed the festivities and had a great time. We would also like to
thank all those who helped in the planning, preparation, setup, execution, and teardown of the
Ball. When looking back on all of the hard work that it takes to host the Ball, it is a shame that
the evening flies by so quickly.
I would like to congratulate the Spirit Award recipients, Glenn and Sheila Nixon and our
newest Member of the Year, Debbie Siwek, thanks for all of your hard work and service to our
club. Congratulations also goes to our latest PC Chuck Stroh and his wife Sandy for officially
ending their year at the helm of NCYC.
The weekend work schedule is starting to fill up. Please send in your request as soon as
you can as the schedule is based on first come first choose. We also have 5 weeks left open
on the Weekday Managers schedule. Please step up and volunteer to take a week, it’s not
really that difficult and you may even enjoy it.
The bar refinishing project is moving along and will be ready to be reinstalled in early April.
Depending on the weather we have another 6 to 8 weeks before we can start spending our
Saturdays back on the island.
Just a reminder that the ABYA Spring Rendezvous is March 10th, 11th and 12th in Midland
Mi. Please think about attending.
In all actuality, we will be back at the Club before we know it. I can hardly wait.
Commodore Pat Carroll
