Mixed Soccer Tournament
at Blackhall Place
Not all eyes will be on Mexico this June. The Alterna-
tive World Cup commenced on 26 May in the august
grounds of the Law Society in Blackhall Place. The
sponsors of the competition this year are Phelan
Gillespie & Company, the Dublin Commercial Property
Consultants, intending to reflect the close co-operation
between valuation surveyors and solicitors, both on and
off the field! Phelan Gillespie are the publishers of "A
Tenants Guide to Lease Renewals and Rent Reviews".
This tournament, which has forty entries, takes the
form of an eleven-a-side mixed football competition
with six women and five men on each team. The final,
which promises to be one of the major sports and social
soirées of the summer season, will be on Saturday, 5
July and the magnificent prize, 'Kings' Cup (after the
law stationers) will be presented by the President of the
Law Society.
