Beam Hardening Artifacts
Another type of inconsistency is the fact that the Beer Lambert
law is simplified without taking into account the energy
dependency.
In particular lower energy photons are attenuated more respect
to higher energy ones. But the formula used for the
reconstruction assumes that the only reasons for different
attenuations are the attenuation coefficients and the intersection
lenghts.
