Any land or buildings primarily used for the collection and storage of recyclable materials (e.g., waste
paper, rags, scrap metal, bottles, glass, tires), the sorting, processing, and repair of such materials in
preparation for shipment to others for use in manufacturing new products, and the direct sale of such
materials. This use includes junkyards, salvage yards, and similar uses—but only to the extent such uses
occur in conjunction with the principal recycling function and operations of the facility.
